Protecting California Recreational Fishing and Jobs!

The California Association for Recreational Fishing (CARF) is dedicated to protecting fresh water fishing, as well as the private fish hatcheries and lake operators that stock and manage thousands of California lakes and ponds; all of which are threatened by regulations that make fishing too costly for many California families. Just this past year independent analysis concluded that the Department of Fish and Game's fish stocking regulations could cost some lake operators more than $100,000 per year, and collectively cost lake and pond owners over $3 billion in regulatory costs every five years. As lake operators and fish hatcheries go out of business, access to fresh water fishing will decline and jobs will be lost.

Tour this website to learn more about regulations that will be mandated for every lake and pond found at your favorite recreational area, campground, golf course, and even ponds on your property! Only with your help can we protect a favorite American pastime. Please become a member of CARF today!
